PREFACE

Bismillahirohmanirrahim,

In the name of Allah SWT, Most Gracious and Most Merciful

Alhamdulillah, the writer is finally able to finish the thesis which is entitled “The Evaluation System of English Teaching in the Implementation of School Based Curriculum (SBC) for Vocational School”.  The thesis is assigned in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the Master’s Degree in English Education at the English Education Study Program, Post Graduate Studies of  UPI Bandung.

The study sought to investigate the implementation of SBC, teachers and students’ responses toward SBC implementation particularly the evaluation system as suggested by the curriculum.

The qualitative design was applied to find the answers to the research questions. Hopefully, the result of the study would give significant contribution for the writer, the teachers, the school manager and all people who care about the education in the country.

The writer is really aware that the thesis is far from perfection. Therefore, any suggestions, criticisms or comments are really appreciated for the betterment of this thesis.
